Favourite videoclip: Motivational and Inspirational Clip on History of Zamzam Water by IslamicPlayground.com

Bismillah

As Salaamu 'alaykum and peace to all,

Favourite videoclip: Motivational and Inspirational Clip on History of Zamzam Water by IslamicPlayground.com

Last week, I was surfing the net, and found this very interesting and educational videoclip about Zamzam Water that has gushed out from the ground since about 4000 years ago.

4000 years ago?

Yes, 4000 years ago! And it is still flowing until now, subhanAllah...

Amazing, huh?

And that is not the only miracle of Zamzam water, my dearest brothers and sisters.

Just look at the hadith below,

Prophet sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam said: "The water of Zamzam is for whatever it is drunk for." (Sunan Ibn Maajah al-Manaasik, 3062)

So, whatever the intention we make when we drink Zamzam water, that will be what we will get when we drink it.

Now, that we know a little of what Zamzam water is, let us learn its history, inshaAllah.

Here is the videoclip with you. Hope you liked it!

Favourite Videoclip: Perform Salah by Eissa Bougary & Team - Motivational and Inspirational Videoclip on Importance of Praying in Islam

Bismillah

As Salaamu 'alaykum and peace to all,

Favourite Videoclip: Perform Salah by Eissa Bougary & Team - Motivational and Inspirational Videoclip on Importance of Praying in Islam

I just reached my dad's house that day and was looking for my darling nephews, whom I missed so dearly.

'Where are they?' I asked their helper.

'Oh, they went to the Masjid sis, with your dad'

Immediately, my heart felt so happy and light, and that put a smile on my face.

'Alhamdulillah..'

I remembered the words of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) who once told us,

"The first matter that the slave will be brought to account for on the Day of Judgment is the prayer. If it is sound, then the rest of his deeds will be sound. And if it is bad, then the rest of his deeds will be bad." [Recorded by al-Tabarani]

Indeed, prayer is critical and crucial in our lives. It would be the first thing that will be asked by our Lord on the day we have to be accounted for everything and anything that we do during our time in this world ...

That reminds me of a story presented by 3 separate but related videoclips I watched months back.

Let me share them with you.

InshaAllah, may we all take heed and be guided by Him to His right path, ameen....

The Story of Ice Cubes and Candles- Motivational Story about Calming Oneself Down When Distress

Bismillah

As Salaamu alaykum and peace to all,

The Story of Ice Cubes and Candles- Motivational Story about Calming Oneself Down When Distress

My dearest friend called me yesterday. She was having a bad day, you know, the type that qualifies for ‘rock-bottom, and then me’ kind of day.

As she was ‘passionately’ describing her ‘memorable moments’ of the day, it was clear that her emotions were running high and her thoughts were all cluttered, disorganized and jumbled up. She wished for things that she had never asked to happen to anyone, to happen to the person that had caused her so much distressed.

I quickly reminded her of the verse of Allaah the Most Loving who said in His Holy Book that guides human souls,

Verily, those who are Al-Muttaqoon (the pious - see V.2:2), when an evil thought comes to them from Shaitan (Satan), they remember (Allah), and (indeed) they then see (aright) (A’raf 7: 201)

She made me think that day.

My friend is a lovely person but under a severely and extremely stressful circumstance, her thoughts wandered to a territory she had never crossed before.

I realized here that Allaah has made it clear that our minds could ‘stroll’ around if we do not control it. Of course if it strolled towards goodness, alhamdulillaah, right?

But what if it wandered towards something bad?

For example, when we got upset with someone, or injustice was done to us, or we found that someone had betrayed us, or we are angered, what were our thoughts at that time?

What were the things that crossed our minds? What were the words at the tip of our tongues? Was there an urge of retaliation? How about revenge? Perhaps intend to pay back? Maybe even a quick prayer of condemnation for the other person?

Well, perhaps some of our thoughts do not really qualify as evil thoughts but they sure do not qualify as good ones either, you agree?

And mind you, those thoughts are definitely whispered and ‘specially delivered’ to our mind courtesy from His enemy.

So, what did Allaah want us to do then?

Remember Him…and then only we could see what is right, inshaAllaah…

With that, I quickly reminded myself and my dearest friend of the words of our Creator, Allaah the Greatest, the Most Loving, the Best Planner with this verse,

Say: "nothing will happen to us except what Allah has decreed for us: He is our protector": and on Allah let the Believers put their trust (At-Taubah 9:51)

Allaah has said that nothing will happen to us except with His Permission. Therefore, if we continuously be upset and failed to exercise patience, aren’t we sort of like showing our anger, dissatisfaction, frustration and irritation towards Allaah too?

Don’t you think this is what the satan wanted from us in the first place? To make us unhappy, angry and displeased with Allaah’s Plans, the One Who gave us life? Do we want to give the enemy of Allaah victory because we aren’t able to control our discontent over the small ‘mishaps’ we faced daily? Do we really want to see them doing the happy dance while we are fuming with anger? Do we want to allow them to use us as prove to Allaah of the unworthiness of His Creation- the human being? Do we?

Astaghfirullaah…

Billy Graham once said,

Hot heads and cold hearts never solved anything

So, I have decided to pour unto my head some ice-cube water to cease the heat and to light some candlelight in my heart to warm it up, inshaAllaah.

What about you my friends? Care to stock some ice-cubes and candle for future use?

I sure do!

Think about it…

Favourite Videoclip: Beautiful Creation- One Creator - One God - One Allah Motivational & Inspirational Videoclip about Wonders and Greatness of Allah

Bismillah

As Salaamu alaykum and peace to all,

Favourite Videoclip: Beautiful Creation- One Creator - One God - One Allah : Motivational and Inspirational Videoclip about Wonders and Greatness of Allah's Creations

That day, I was talking to a friend about God. And she asked me if God truly exists.

'Just look at the miracles around you, Jane' I told her

'What miracles? Are there miracles around us?' she asked

'Definitely! You are a miracle yourself. You were an egg before, remember?'

And she bursted into laughter.

Indeed, Allah has said in His Book,

"He (Allah) is the Originator of the heavens and the earth… He created all things and He has knowledge of all things." (Surat al-An'am: 101)

Surely, He, our Lord has created everything around us, and it is our responsibility to open up our eyes and take a closer look at the magnificent of His Creations.

So, to help us do that, let me share with you a beautiful videoclip I found on youtube.com.

Enjoy and be amazed, inshaAllah...

Isn’t This What We Want to Call Love? Motivational and Inspirational Story about The Reality of Real and Genuine Love

Bismillah

As Salaamu alaykum and peace to all,

Isn’t This What We Want to Call Love? Motivational and Inspirational Story about The Reality of Real and Genuine Love

I was once asked by a friend- how is it that I have mothers in different countries and sisters all over the place. The weird part is that they don’t know each other and they only have one thing in common - me.

Explain to me… she told me one day.

So, I began explaining by quoting an incident that happened to me when I was visiting another country just a few months back.

‘As Salaamu ‘alaykum dear...’ greeted the elderly lady sitting next to me.

‘Wa ‘alaykum salaam aunty…’ I answered with a smile

‘You are new here?’ she asked

‘Yes, I am just visiting some friends and doing a book tour at the same time, alhamdulillaah’

Within an hour, we were already talking and giggling together as if we have known each other for years. She hugged me, patted my head, held my hands, invited me into her home, offered me a place to stay and insisted that I at least have dinner with her family, making me feel accepted and warm all over. I was overwhelmed by her kindness

And she is not alone and unique in that sense.

Throughout my trip, I was ‘fought over’ by my sisters-in-Islam whom I just met. Our initial embraces and hugs would be our ice-breaking gestures. These loving hugs made me feel secure and safe with them, alhamdulillaah.

And I believe that if I could shrink just one over sixteenth of an inch for every hug I received, I would be so slim and slender by the end of my trip!

The kind gestures do not just stop there too. I received so many invites for lunch, dinner, supper and even sleep over at their homes. All these has made my eyes watery too many times and made me realized the wisdom of the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (may Allaah’s peace and blessings be upon him) in shaping the Muslim community.

The love and affection I received from my sisters even if they barely knew me could be explained easily,

The Messenger of Allah (may Allaah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said,

On the Day of Judgement, Allah, the Most High, will announce, 'Where are those who love each other for the sake of My pleasure? This day I am going to shelter them in the shade provided by Me. Today there is no shade except My shade." (Muslim)

SubhanAllaah…

Allaah has promised that on the Day of Judgement, He will shade those who have loved one another just to earn His Pleasure.

Isn’t that wonderful?

Just by loving each other we are entitled for His Shades in the Day of Judgement.

I cant help but think of how Merciful Allaah is, don’t you think?

He didn’t say that we should pray the whole night, or fast the whole year.

Instead, He wants us to continue loving each other, taking care of one another to earn His Shelter on the day when human are gathered from Prophet Adam (as) to the last man born, when the sun will be just above our heads and when there is nothing that can be used to cover and protect us from the heat torment except for His Shades.

Thinking about it made me realized how beautiful this deal is for Muslims.

Why?

Because Muslims love each other for the sake of Allaah, they would earn at least two rewards. The immediate one is His Pleasure and the second reward would be their ‘booking for a spot’ to be under His Shade in the Day of Judgement, inshaAllaah.

This is among the values that Prophet Muhammad (may Allaah’s peace and blessings be with him) has instilled in the Muslims’ hearts. He has removed the barriers of race, ethnicity and prejudice that would usually become a hindrance when people from different races, ethnicity or countries met. He put in their hearts love and cares for others even before they know them.

I reflected on what Martin Luther King Jr. (1929-1968) said as he showed that he clearly understood the message,
.
We must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools.

He was absolutely right! And we must avoid becoming fools at any cost, you agree?

Islam has long taught its followers the concept of love between human- brotherhood and sisterhood from the very beginning.

I remembered a verse from the Holy Quran that says,

The Believers are but a single brotherhood: so make peace and reconciliation between your two (contending) brothers; and fear Allah, that ye may receive Mercy. (Al-Hujurat 49: 10)

Allaah has clearly stated that all Muslims are brothers, one single brotherhood. Muslims, regardless where they are from, are considered as one. We belong to the same community- the Muslim community.

That was why I was accepted very quickly into the lives of the sisters whom I just met. We all knew that we are one- one family, one unit.

Naturally, as one family, Muslims are asked to be kind and compassionate towards one another. Prophet Muhammad (may Allaah’s peace and blessings be upon him) used the parable of a human body to explain what he meant by brotherhood in Islam.

This is how Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) wants Muslims to treat each other,

The Muslims in their mutual love, kindness and compassion are like the human body where when one of its parts is in agony the entire body feels the pain, both in sleeplessness and fever. (Bukhari and Muslim)

This interesting analogy is a perfect one.

Let us see why Prophet Muhammad (may Allaah’s peace and blessings be upon him) brilliantly used human body to explain the concept of brotherhood to us.

Take for an example we have a toothache. With it comes headache too, right? This is because the nerves from our teeth are all connected to the brain thus causing the headache. And with headache, we really need to rest. So, would we still be able to be chatty, giggling away or continuing our daily chores when we have toothache or the whole body feels the discomfort and need to rest?

Still on headache, logically, when we have it, the only body part that is in pain is our heads right? Of course there are multiple reasons for headache like toothache, tension and stress, tumor in the brain or even hot weather. Headache happen because the center of all the nerves in our body is in the brain, thus, if even one body part is unwell, it sent the signal back via the nerves triggering the pain sensation which makes us want to stop doing whatever we were doing and lie down.

What will happen if say, we have diarrhea? The affected body organ is only Mr. Colon, you agree? But, as we all know, if we have diarrhea, all that we would want to do is just rest as the whole body is in discomfort. Ever wondered why? It is because fluid from the body circulation is lost in the colon making us tired, weak and dehydrated. We can even die from it. That is how severe the impact is.

For the ladies, despite the monthly menstrual pain that comes from one organ, this pain will cause backache, soar muscles and cramps all over our body, you agree?

So, yes, when one part of human body is in pain, the whole body would feel the pain too…

SubhanAllaah….

So, that is the love that all Muslims must have for each other. When we see another Muslim in difficulties, the pain must creep into our hearts too. If we see tears of another Muslim, our hearts should be crying too. The joy felt by our brothers, should be our personal joy too.

Muslims are a single brotherhood, loving each other to earn His Pleasure and should be so kind and compassionate towards one another that when one Muslim is suffering, facing hardship or in sadness, the others would felt it too. And when one is bursting with happiness, we should be that too.

We are all one part of one body.

Now, isn’t this what we want to call love?

Faourite Videoclip: Muslim Firsts by Javed: Motivational and Inspirational Videoclip on The Great Achievements of Muslims Personalities Worldwide

Bismillah

As Salaamu 'alaykum and peace to all,

Faourite Videoclip: Muslim Firsts by Javed: Motivational and Inspirational Videoclip on The Great Achievements of Muslims Personalities Worldwide

That day, one of my earlier mentors in writing, Brother Javed send me a link to his latest videoclip on YouTube.com entitled Muslim Firsts.

Muslim First videoclip is a collection of contemporary Muslim Firsts from Sports, Entertainment, Science, Politics and more.

His clip reminded me of what Vince Lombardi once said,

It is time for us to stand and cheer for the doer, the achiever, the one who recognizes the challenge and does something about it.

And truly, Vince is right.

This is one time I really wanted to stand up and cheer for them, subhanAllah. For their achievements and triumphs in their lives.

Let me share the videoclip with you...

Needless to say, at the end of the videoclip, I was overwhelmed with pride looking at what my brothers and sisters had accomplished worldwide and without realizing tears was flowing down my cheek.

They made me think- really- What kind of personalities and traits do they possess that allows them to achieve what they did? How did they face the challenges that come their way? How did they react to negativity thrown at them? What was their respond to the nay-sayers?

As I sat there thinking, I remembered the words of our Lord who said in His Book,

You must never allow yourself to believe or feel that Allah has treated you unfairly or that He has placed upon you a burden you cannot shoulder for {On no soul does Allah place a burden greater than it can bear.}
(Al-Baqarah 2:286)

Of course! The perfect antidote to life challenges, right?

Allah will and shall never place something on us that we cannot bear.

So, if I find myself in a situation, knowing that Allah will not give me something I cannot bear, surely I know that this situation I am facing is really something that I, Zabrina, definitely and absolutely and totally can handle, inshaAllah!

SubnhanAllah... I felt a gush of confidence seeping right thru me at this very moment.

What about you, my brothers and sisters?

Do you feel the same confidence too now, knowing that our Creator has promised that WHATEVER that we are going thru in our life, it is surely something that we CAN handle?

Do you?

Think about it...

..... prays that she heeds the advice of Steve Jobs when he said, "Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life.' Are we?
